ABOUT THE ORGANISATION AND THE ROLE

WIZO Cape Town is the largest Zionist women’s organisation committed to social welfare and the advancement of women, children and youth in Israel. This organisation is seeking a proactive and dedicated Fundraising & Admin Coordinator to support its fundraising, membership, and campaign efforts

The ideal candidate will have strong administrative capabilities, a heart for community service, and a passion for Zionist values. They will work closely with leadership to drive donor and member engagement, ensure accurate data management, support successful campaign execution and fundraisers.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to community engagement and organisational growth through excellent administrative support.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 1. Data and Donor Management

  • Maintain and update donor and membership database
  • Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of all personal and financial records
  • Track member and donor activity and support reporting functions.

2. Campaign and Fundraising Support

  • Assist with the administration of fundraising campaigns and membership drives
  • Coordinate canvassing, follow-ups, and thank-you communications
  • Support banking and financial reconciliation for donations.

3. Event and Logistics Coordination

  • Assist in the planning and execution of community events and fundraisers
  • Ensure all logistics are managed with precision and care.

4. Communication and Marketing Support

  • Generate donor communications using MailChimp, mail merge, and Google tools
  • Help create personalised communication for campaigns and outreach
  • Assist in reporting and analysing campaign performance.

5. Strategic Support

  • Work alongside the Director and Chairman to advance strategic fundraising objectives
  • Proactively contribute ideas to improve donor and member engagement.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The ideal applicant will have the following competencies: 

1. Work experience and industry exposure

  • Proven experience in canvassing, fundraising, or community engagement
  • Exposure to non-profit or community organisations preferred.

2. Technical & Administrative Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and Mail Merge)
  • Familiarity with design programmes and digital marketing/email tools such as MailChimp and Canvas
  • Strong database management and data integrity practices
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure.

3. Interpersonal & Communication Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to build rapport with members and donors
  • Confident and professional when engaging with stakeholders.

4. General

  • Committed to Zionist values and community service
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative.
