Bookkeeper – KareHero
ABOUT THE ORGANISATION AND THE ROLE
To help employers retain great talent by simplifying access to adult care for employees and their families. Only 20% of employers are aware of caregiving employees within their workforce and women are 4x more likely to quit their jobs for caregiving duties.
KareHero is setting out to change this by providing end-to-end care solutions to caregivers, in turn helping employers attract and retain staff. Founded in late 2022, KareHero is a fast-growing company that now supports more than one million families. Their clients include several FTSE100 companies as an employee benefit and customer benefit solution. They are looking for an organised and efficient Bookkeeper to join their team.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- General processing and reconciliations.
- Bookkeeping to trial balance
- Bank Reconciliations
- Payroll management
- Debtors and creditors management
- Processing cashbooks
- Month-end reporting
- Additional ad hoc financial administrative task as and when required.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The ideal applicant will have the following competencies:
1. Work experience and industry exposure
- Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience in a bookkeeping role
- Exposure to an accounting software is essential – Xero and/or Pento Payroll is desirable.
- Accounting or Bookkeeping Degree or Diploma, desirable.
- Knowledge and experience working with UK tax is advantageous.
2. Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate well with a wide variety of audiences
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good telephonic communication skills.
3. Excellent Administration and Organisational Skills
- An organised and methodical individual
- Systematic, consistent and structured approach to work; able to implement systems and processes to improve efficiencies.
- A confident team collaborator who is self-driven and highly organized
- Strong attention to detail.
4. General
- Financial acumen and understanding is essential
- Engaged and committed individual, looking to immerse oneself in the business
- Ability to work autonomously
- Trustworthy and reliable with the ability to manage confidential information in a discrete and sensitive manner
- Good computer literacy with a specific requirement to have a good working knowledge of Excel.
