International Fundraiser – CSO
ABOUT THE ORGANISATION AND THE ROLE
CSO (Cape Town) is a non-profit organisation committed to protecting and strengthening communities through proactive security, emergency response, and community-driven initiatives. They are looking for a dynamic and confident International Fundraiser to manage and grow the organisation’s international fundraising portfolio. This role will focus on securing sustainable international funding, building and maintaining meaningful donor relationships, increasing global engagement, and delivering fundraising initiatives that support the organisation’s mission and long-term growth.
The successful candidate will be a relationship-driven fundraising professional with the ability to maintain professional relationships, build partnerships and deliver successful campaigns.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic Fundraising & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute the organisation’s international fundraising strategy in partnership with the Executive Director and EXCO.
- Drive sustainable revenue growth and achieve annual fundraising targets.
- Willingness to “make the ask” and secure funding from international donors, foundations, and philanthropic partners.
- Identify opportunities to diversify funding streams and expand the global donor base.
2. Donor Relationship Management & Stewardship
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a related role
- Experience in a family own and run business is desirable.
- Experienced in the implementation and improvement of systems and processes.
- People management experience is a distinct advantage.
3. Global Campaigns, Engagement & Brand Representation
- Lead international fundraising campaigns, events, and engagement initiatives.
- Develop and manage a network of global ambassadors, advocates, and supporters.
- Enhance the organisation’s international visibility and donor participation.
- Represent the organisation professionally while promoting its mission, values, and impact.
4. Collaboration, Leadership & Performance
- Collaborate with Marketing, Communications, and internal stakeholders to support fundraising objectives.
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships and champion international fundraising priorities.
- Demonstrate leadership, accountability, professionalism, and integrity in all activities.
- Monitor fundraising performance against KPIs and drive continuous improvement across fundraising initiatives.
