ABOUT THE ORGANISATION AND THE ROLE
Rainbow Swimwear is an established beachfront shop in Camps Bay having one of the largest selections of swimwear for the whole family. Stockist of both local and international brands of swimwear, beach apparel, gorgeous towels, Havaiana sandals, sunscreens, sunglasses, beach games, and more. As the summer season approaches, the store is looking for a dynamic people’s person with a flair for fashion to join their team. This is a casual position with potential to become permanent.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver excellent customer service, offering advice and guidance
- Good housekeeping
- General Merchandising and window display
- Other administrative and product-related duties as and when required
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
1. Education
- Matric is essential
2. Experience
- Experience working in fashion / retail is a distinct advantage.
3. Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- A confident and outgoing individual who is friendly and accessible
- Able to manage difficult situations and personalities in a calm and rational manner
- Able to effectively respond to queries and deal with complaints.
4. Strong Administration Skills
- A proactive individual who uses their initiative to ensure service and performance are always to a high standard
- An organised and meticulous individual who is able to follow policies and procedures.
5. General
- Customer focussed and friendly with a passion for service excellence
- Shows flair for fashion and an eye for style
- Able to merchandise the store, following colour-blocking or specific merchandising principles
- Trustworthy and reliable.
