ABOUT THE ORGANISATION AND THE ROLE

Sandak-Lewin Property Trust is a well-established property management company specializing in sectional title management, property sales, and rentals across Cape Town. With a reputation for integrity and personalized service, we are seeking a dynamic and motivated Property Rental and Sales Agent to join our team.​

The ideal candidate will have a passion for real estate, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage both rental and sales transactions efficiently. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of properties and clients, providing comprehensive property solutions.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Property rentals

  • Source and list rental properties in line with company standards
  • Conduct property viewings and liaise with prospective tenants
  • Screen tenants, including credit and reference checks
  • Prepare and manage lease agreements
  • Coordinate move-in and move-out inspections
  • Handle rental inquiries and maintain tenant relationships​.

2. Property sales

  • List properties for sale and develop marketing strategies
  • Conduct property valuations and market analyses
  • Arrange and conduct property viewings
  • Negotiate offers and facilitate sales transactions
  • Prepare sales agreements and liaise with attorneys and other stakeholders​.

3. Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain regular communication with property owners and landlords
  • Provide feedback and updates on property status
  • Address client concerns promptly and professionally
  • Build and maintain a strong client network​.

4. Administrative Duties

  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications
  • Ensure compliance with relevant property laws and regulations
  • Utilize property management software for record-keeping and reporting
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless operations

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The ideal applicant will have the following competencies: 

1. Work experience and industry exposure

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in property rentals and/or sales
    • Familiarity with the Cape Town property market
    • Valid Fidelity Fund Certificate (FFC) registered with the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA).

2. Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong negotiation and sales abilities
    • Customer-focused with a professional demeanour​

3. Excellent Administration and Organisational Skills

  • Proficient in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines​

4. General

  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing market conditions.
