ABOUT THE ORGANISATION AND THE ROLE
A boutique, specialist retailer in the wellness sector, with 3 stores across Cape Town (Southern and Northern suburbs), is looking for a dynamic, open-minded Sales Assistant with excellent interpersonal skills, to join their team in the Claremont store.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Customer service
- Assisting customer in a friendly and informative manner
- Answering the phone and taking messages.
2. Stock control and merchandising
- Ensuring the shelves are stocked with merchandise.
- Ensure the shop floor and fridges are clean and neat,
- Receiving orders
- Counting stock
- Packaging stock
- Filling all online and App orders and arranging courier pick-ups
- Placing orders for specified items from Plumstead branch.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Acting as the face and voice of the organisation, the ideal applicant will have the following competencies:
1. Work experience and industry exposure
- Previous retail experience, desirable
- Customer-facing service experience is a distinct advantage.
2. Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate well with a wide variety of audiences
- Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with people from all ages and stages of life
- Able to manage difficult situations and personalities in a calm and rational manner
- Able to effectively respond to queries and deal with complaints
- Ability to communicate telephonically in an effective and professional manner.
3. Excellent Administration and Organisational Skills
- A confident team collaborator who is self-driven and highly organized
- Proactive with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
- Efficient and able to work independently
- Strong attention to detail.
4. Specific
- Comfortable working with alternative health products including CBD, THC and psilocybin.
